Maryland LLC Filing Fees: Formation, Annual Report and Agent
Budgeting a Maryland LLC comes down to four state figures and two of ours. This page lays out each fee, who collects it, and when it comes due. Every state number below comes from SDAT's charter fee schedule and the Maryland Business Express fee schedule.
The Formation Fee: $100
SDAT charges $100 to record the Articles of Organization for a domestic LLC. That figure holds whether you file on paper or online, though online card payments through Maryland Business Express add a 3% service fee. Expedited service is an optional $50 add-on, and same-day rush handling runs $325 online or $425 for paper under the SDAT fee schedule.
The Annual Report Fee: $300
Form 1, the Business Entity Annual Report, is due to SDAT by April 15 every year. The fee is a flat $300 per entity, not scaled to property or revenue. Pay online and the 3% technology fee brings the total to roughly $309. The filing window opens January 1, and a free 60-day extension to June 15 can be requested online before the deadline. Businesses that meet the MarylandSaves retirement-program criteria can have the $300 waived.
